Behind the $1600 American Diplomat is a DD for…Chris, who’s still in 3rd w/ $2800; he’s a g-bar behind the champ for a distant 2nd & nine big ones off of the sole woman on the panel. This is the $2K answer for the male challengee.

“What is Wellington?”…I’m sorry- it was Christchurch. And I’m even sorrier to report that he’s unlucky enough to finish BROKE at -$400 as the BoT wail, so his final winnings in the regular games amount to $97,598; hope to see him in the tourney. Left on the board:

St. Patrick’s Day Quick News & Notes

-We’ve just lost Frank Sinatra, Jr. & UK “Every Second Counts” host (also a magician) Paul Daniels.
-I think this wk. was actually the first time the $50K was won in back-to-back eps. (there was another wk. early in S24 where the $50K was won twice, but not consecutively).
-As a result, we have had our first BR winning streak of at least four eps. since the PBRW just before the end of last season.
-In the finals of the “@midnight” ToC, they did something I don’t remember them doing previously- a Super Hashtag Wars to determine who would play FTW. They dropped confetti & balloons at the end of that ep.
-Before that $19K gamble earlier this wk., the highest DD bet was $18K by Roger Craig (start of ToC finals on 11/14/11) & Leonard Cooper (at the conclusion of the Teen Tournament on 2/12/13).
