“JEOPARDY!” 6/13/17

Dylan Watton (Rockaway Beach, NY): Communications coord.
Stan Jastrzebski (Lafayette, IN): Broadcast journalist
2-TIME CHAMP: Tucker Dunn

BB:
THE NATIONAL WOMEN’S HALL OF FAME
BIG TEN SCHOOLS
“J” WORDS
JOBS TAKEN BY AUTOMATIONS
AROUND THE WORLD
A BEATLES SONG & MOVIE TITLE

HS:

Tucker: $1,400/Stan: $4K/Dylan: $1K

On the 2nd choice after break #1, Stan picks the DD for the $1K “J” Word & wagers exactly that much.

Change the first letter in a problem for a car tire to get this, a point in time when a decision has to be made.

“What is a jet?”- I don’t think so. Correct: What is a juncture?

ATTEMPTED LT: $1200 (1st & last Jobs Taken By Automations- time called before they could read the 4th one)
UNATTEMPTED LT: $3400
TOTAL LT: $4600

CS:

Tucker: $4,200/Stan: $3,800/Dylan: $800

DJ!:
SAILING STORIES
LAST WORD IN THE ACRONYM, PLEASE
WORKING BLUE
OTHER GREEK LETTER MALES?
THE THRILL OF VICTORY
THE AGONY OF DA FEET

Dylan may get a taste of The Thrill of Victory because he just picked off DD #1 for its $800 box & he just tripled to $2400; Tucker’s at seven large & Stan’s $1200 behind the defending king. Here’s Dylan’s clue on this Trubie attempt:

At 18 in 338 B.C. he helped his dad’s army to victory at Chaeronea, bringing Greece under Macedonian control.

“Who is Alexander the Great?”…good job. Stan jumps at DD #2 to the $1600 box during The Agony of Da Feet, who’s in last place to the tune of $4600; Dylan’s in 2nd for $7200 & Tucker’s still ahead w/ $12,600. Like the other challenger, he’ll bet it all.

Caused by a buildup of uric acid, it can affect other parts of the foot along w/ the big toe.

“What is Wobus?”…not right- what is gout? The time’s NOT there for the $800 clue under either Sailing Stories or The Agony of Da Feet.

ATTEMPTED LT: $3600
UNATTEMPTED LT: $6K
TOTAL DJ! LT: $9600

Pre-Final S:

Tucker: $12,600/Stan: $5,200/Dylan: $6,400

CHALLENGER CORYATS:
Stan: $10,800
Dylan: $4,800

FJ! #197: 16th C. NAMES

In his 1557 almanac this French doctor predicted “Immortal I shall be in life, and in death even more so”.

STAN: “WHO WAS PASTEUR?” (ZIPPO)
DYLAN: “Who is Descartes” (BUSTS)
TUCKER: SAME AS STAN (Correct: Who was Nostradamus?) = $12,399

Another triple stumper in Final Jeopardy really sunk my grade. We are having a weak start this week. One more triple stumper, then we will have screwed up FJ week. What do you say, Ant1988?
